OVERVIEW: The Portland Dahlia Society (“Society”) Code of Conduct (“Code”) is to ensure that the Society is a safe, friendly and respectful place for members, visitors, and guests to gather in the spirit of cooperation, relaxation, good will, fun, learning and friendly competition.
CODE OF CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS: The Society, its members and the Executive Committee/Board (“Board”), are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Members are responsible for their actions as well as their guests and shall treat other members, guests and patrons with respect and courtesy. All members shall refrain from acting in a manner which may damage or jeopardize the reputation of the Society and/or any members.
BREACHES OF THIS CODE OF CONDUCT: The consequences for breach of the Code are at the discretion of the Board. Any behavior deemed to be a violation of the Code may result in members and/or guests being immediately removed from an event or the facility and subject to a review by the Board.
POLICY MODIFICATIONS: The Code is broadly stated and thus, the Society, via the Executive Committee/Board, may modify the Code as necessary. •Any modifications of the Code must be approved by the Board.
CONFIRMATION OF INTENT TO COMPLY: As a member of the Portland Dahlia Society, I have had an opportunity to read “The Portland Dahlia Society Code of Conduct” and agree to abide by the terms.
By way of my payment of dues hereto, for new membership, renewal or current life members, I understand and accept that the Code has been provided to protect the integrity of and atmosphere at the Society for all members, visitors, patrons, and guests.
•Refusal to accept and act accordingly to support this Code may result in the loss of membership.
